MinRon11 Det Alfa and Mine Division 112 MinRon11 Det Alfa and Mine Division 112 served to keep the shipping lanes open in Vietnam waters. Upon returning home I was honorably discharge from the Navy.

I served in the US Navy with Mine Division 112 at Nha Be, South Vietnam from June 1970 to Dec 1970. Mine Division 112 decommissioned 13 of the 57' Mine Sweeping Boats and shipped them back to the States. Mine Division 112 disbanded and it's sailors were shipped home or reassigned to many other different locations throughout Vietnam. I personally stayed at Nha Be working in Special Services until my year tour was completed.
