Dazzling Dave dazzled our families and kids this morning with his amazing yo-yo tricks and gave some great tips on how to yo-yo. We had a great Friday morning! Thank you to our Summer Reading Sponsors for sponsoring this program!!

Our next program will be our K-Pop Demon Hunters Party on Monday (June 8th) at 10AM.

This afternoon we had our first Teen Thursday of the summer! Teens could bring in a book from home - or pick a new title off our cart - and highlight parts of the cover with rhinestones. It was a relaxing afternoon adding a little sparkle to our reads!

WHEW! We had over 75 tweens attend our Tween Crafternoon today - so many that we ran out of hats!!!! We were too busy ironing we couldn't take photos so here is my example hat that I made to practice my ironing skills....

If you came after we ran out of hats - don't worry! I'll have hats available at our next crafternoon and you can make one then. If you are unable to make that event, let me know.

Our next Tween Crafternoon: Dino Art Lab will be on Wednesday, June 17th at 1PM.

The library is now in our summer hours.

The only difference is that we are closed on Saturdays during the summer (June-August).

We had so much fun this morning at our Little Ranger’s Adventure Day! Kids could “fish” in the pond of letters, identify animal tracks, investigate things found in nature, create stories, heal animals, and take the ultimate ranger trek challenge!

Our next preschool-age program is Summer Storytime: Dinosaurs next Tuesday (June 9th at 10AM).

Our next all ages program is on Friday, June 5th at 10AM for Dazzling Dave Yo-Yo.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Summer Reading Kickoff Party yesterday! We had such a great time kicking off our reading program with dinosaurs, animals, shaved ice, and more. Over 700 people came through the library in 4 hours! We also signed up over 350 kids, tweens, and teens for our reading challenges and gave out over 350 FREE BOOKS!!! Our library hearts are full ❤️

A BIG thank you to our summer reading sponsors for their support in our Kickoff Party and our Summer Reading Program: Friends of the Le Sueur Public Library, Treasures In Town, United Fund of Le Sueur, Le Sueur Lions Club, Manke Foundation and the Jo and Veronica Anderson Family Foundation.
