Tonight, some of our amazing PIC Committee members gathered at the City Council meeting to witness the R.A.M.P. ordinance officially passed by the Layton City Council! 🎉💙

This entire journey—working side by side with YOU, our neighbors and community members—reminded us just how powerful our community truly is. With over 75% of voters saying YES, Layton stood together and declared that Recreation, Arts, Museums, and Parks matter in our city.

We’re continuing the legacy of Layton as a place to live, work, and play—and now, with your support, we get to keep building on that legacy for the next decade.

Thank you to the incredible citizens of our great city and to the dedicated, passionate team behind the RAMP PIC Committee.

Here’s to ten more years of strengthening and growing OUR community. 💙✨

🎉 WE DID IT! 🎉

Because of YOU — your voices, your votes, and your belief in what makes Layton shine — R.A.M.P. will be renewed for another 10 years! 💙

That means 10 more years of parks, trails, museums, art, theatre, and spaces where we come together. Ten more years of investing in OUR community.

From everyone who poured their heart into this—thank you. You showed that when a community works together, incredible things happen. Here’s to the next decade of creativity, connection, and community pride! 🙌

🎉 We’re celebrating 10 YEARS of R.A.M.P.! 🎉

That’s 10 years of playgrounds built, parks improved, stages lit, and creativity unleashed right here in Layton.

Over the past decade, R.A.M.P. has turned pennies into possibilities — helping fund community concerts, theatre productions, trails, museums, sports programs, and more!

💙 From family movie nights in the park to standing ovations at local theatres, R.A.M.P. has been there — supporting the things that make Layton home.

Let’s keep the good going for another 10 years!
Say YES to R.A.M.P. and keep investing in our community’s joy, connection, and creativity. 🌟

🛑 Wait—did you know R.A.M.P. isn’t a new tax?

Let’s break down a few misconceptions about R.A.M.P. 👇

That one penny on every ten dollars has built parks, improved trails, supported arts education, and kept Layton vibrant for 10 years.

Now it’s time to decide if we want to keep the momentum going.
YES to keep the music.
YES to keep the parks.
YES to keep the creativity.
YES to keep the community.

🗳️ Say YES to R.A.M.P. — because investing in Layton means investing in home. 💙

💙 DON’T LET THE WORD “TAX” STRESS YOU OUT 💙

This isn’t a new tax — it’s a renewal of something that’s already been making a huge difference in Layton for the past 10 years!

Thanks to R.A.M.P. (Recreation, Arts, Museums & Parks), we’ve seen:
🎭 Thriving community arts programs
🏞️ Beautiful, upgraded parks and playgrounds
🎶 Concerts and festivals that bring families together
🏛️ A Museum and cultural spaces that preserve our history

Renewing R.A.M.P. simply means we keep investing those same pennies — literally 1/10 of one cent — right back into our community where they belong.

"As a candidate for Layton City Council, I fully support RAMP, the work it does, and the continuation of this important program. RAMP is one of Layton City’s best examples of how a small investment creates a significant return for the entire community. By dedicating just one cent for every $10 spent in Layton, residents have made possible improvements to recreation, arts, museums, and parks that our normal city budget could not cover. These enhancements strengthen the quality of life for families, promote community connection, and ensure that Layton continues to be a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work, and play.

What makes RAMP especially meaningful is that it is truly “by the people, for the people.” Funds are overseen by a citizen-led advisory commission that carefully reviews each grant request based on community need, visibility, and value. This ensures that every dollar is maximized for the benefit of Layton residents. From new recreational opportunities and cultural experiences to maintaining and improving our parks, RAMP reflects the spirit of collaboration and progress that I am committed to supporting."

Linda Lartigue
Candidate, Layton City Council

Cities exist for two very important reasons, first, to deliver essential services like EMS, police, roads, sewer, water, etc. And second, to create a place, a place to be from, to come home to, to recreate, to work, and to raise our families.

The RAMP tax directly supports that second purpose, while freeing up general fund money for the first purpose. It helps us build and sustain our parks, trails system, museum, and recreation programs, it also helps to bring the arts and arts education to our community… to make Layton feel like home.

As a member of the City Council and as the council liaison for the RAMP Commission, I have seen first hand the hard work and dedication of the RAMP commissioners as they vet grant applications and make recommendations to the City Council on what to fund. They have made good decisions.

Ballots are being mailed out tomorrow… please join Stephanie and me and make sure to vote YES on RAMP and keep Layton thriving as a place we’re all proud to call home!

"Ten years ago, when the R.A.M.P. tax was approved by residents, I could not have anticipated how significant the benefits would be to our communities in Layton. R.A.M.P. provides experiences for our city, our communities, and most importantly thousands of individuals. It brings improved and affordable access to "third places" in Layton. Third places are where we informally build empathy for others, discover our own identities, learn to connect with society, and many other essential life skills that are difficult for many to find (offline) in our current society.

In my youth, the experiences and relationships I gained from my third places (theatre, soccer, choir, and others) crafted my personality, gave me confidence, and broadened my perspective of our world. I've watched my kids as they struggle to find their own "third places" and then thrive after they do. I am convinced that one of the best things we can do for our community, our youth, and Layton's future is to support and continue to build on the successes of the prior 10-year success of R.A.M.P.

Please join me in voting "Yes" for Layton R.A.M.P. to build and strengthen our communities, give our kids a better future, and indirectly strengthen our economy (keeping tax dollars in Layton). "
