Burlington public schools forced a sexually explicit survey on kids after parents opted out, a clear violation of parental rights. I will not stop fighting to keep this from happening in Lawrence.

Our schools need to get back to the basics. I support research-based literacy because teaching every child to read well should be one of the most basic responsibilities of our public schools.

I’m glad to see progress being made in Lawrence Public Schools, and I think it’s important to recognize it. At the same time, we all know there is still a lot of work ahead, and more than ever, we need leadership that stays focused on results for students. Progress is a good sign, but continuing the work is what will make the biggest difference for Lawrence.

Me alegra ver el progreso que se está logrando en las Escuelas Públicas de Lawrence, y creo que es importante reconocerlo.
