Hart County Fire Department, Station 4, The4House, was the 4th chartered station to be constructed in Hart County, following the Goldmine, Station 3, fire station. The Station was once a school in the Shoal Creek community and to this day still holds those original archtitural features. The department was remodeled and additional building were built to house the 7 units which currently fill Statio

n 4. As with all other stations in Hart Co. we have the potential to have 21 paid on call firemen who respond basic medical first responder, one of 2 stations in the county with vehicle extrication equipment for motor vehicle accidents, brush, grass and trash fire(s), structural fire call(s), commercial and industrial fire call(s) and alarm(s), R.I.T. (Rapid Intervention Team), and all other areas of customer service needed. Our station provides backup to 4 other districts in Hart County. Station 5, Bowersville, Station 9, Rock Springs, Station 1, Central, Station 2, Reed Creek. Station 4 is unique in the fact that this station has primary (first due) response to Interstate I-85, and to the largest sector of Industrial growth and building outside of the city of Hartwell. Our Engine company is also the only company with LDH, 1550', which is utilized throughout the county, and supports the Ladder Company from Station 5. Station 5, Bowersville, houses the counties 110' Aerial Ladder Truck which responds throughout the county.
