I am ready to serve on Day One!

We must be prepared with an agenda on day one to address violent crime, court backlog, jail overcrowding, and our response times.

Our citizens deserve to know that they have a sheriff who works for them and will serve ALL people. I am looking forward to less division and more partnerships to address the problems we face.

A historic moment for Scotland County has been made.

All Democratic candidates seeking local office (in contested races) came together for a unified meeting to discuss our shared vision for the future of our county.

The conversation was centered on how we can collectively work to make Scotland County more safe, more economically vibrant, and more publicly transparent for every citizen who calls this community home.

While each of them are running for a different office, they left the room with a common understanding: the challenges facing our county require collaboration, accountability, and leadership that puts people first. When leaders are willing to sit at the same table, share ideas, and commit to working together, real progress becomes possible.

A Message to the People of Scotland County📢

Because I am the only Democrat who has filed for Sheriff of Scotland County, my name will not appear on the ballot during the primary election. At this time, we are awaiting the selection of the Republican nominee, after which the general election will move forward.

While political parties exist, the office of Sheriff should never be about partisanship. Public safety, crime reduction, and community trust are not Democratic or Republican issues—they are people issues. Scotland County deserves common-sense solutions, thoughtful leadership, and accountability that serves everyone.

Come November, there will be two candidates and two choices. Between now and then, it is my hope to show you the leadership qualities that matter most:
✔️ Experience that prepares you for the job
✔️ Relationships with all people—not just a select few
✔️ Accountability that is fair, transparent, and consistent

Our next Sheriff must be someone who will represent and protect all of Scotland County—every neighborhood, every family, every voice.

I am that candidate.

As we step into this New Year, I am praying for a better, safer, and stronger Scotland County.

I pray that this year brings new opportunities for our families, new jobs for our community, and renewed hope for every neighborhood across our county. Most of all, I pray that we move forward together—united in purpose and committed to looking out for one another.

This November, I believe Scotland County is ready for new leadership, new accountability, and a new sheriff who will serve with integrity, fairness, and respect for all.

May this year bring progress, protection, and peace to our county.
