❤️💚🖤 Thank you, Laurens, for coming out and showing out! ❤️💚🖤

What an incredible day celebrating Juneteenth together! From the Breakfast Conference and free movie at the Capitol Theatre to the Downtown Processional Parade and evening celebration on the Square, our community made this a day to remember.

A huge thank you to the Laurens County Juneteenth Committee and all of the volunteers whose hard work made this celebration possible. We also appreciate Big Air Laurens,the South Carolina Children’s Museum, our amazing vendors, Laurens County EMS, the Laurens Police Department, Laurens Fire Department, Streets & Sanitation crews, and City staff for their support throughout the day.

A special shoutout to XperienceSoul for an outstanding performance that kept the crowd entertained and the celebration going all evening long! 🎶

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your energy, smiles, and community spirit truly embodied this year’s theme: “Honoring the Past, Serving the Present, & Inspiring the Future.” We are grateful to celebrate with you and can’t wait to see you again next year!

The celebration continues today at the City of Laurens Juneteenth Weekend Celebration! 🎊

Start your morning with our Breakfast Panel, enjoy a free showing of Sarah's Oil, then join us for the Juneteenth Parade and Downtown Celebration featuring live music by Xperience Soul.

🎉 The City of Laurens Juneteenth Weekend Celebration kicks off tonight with the Talent Show at The Capitol Theatre, and the celebration continues tomorrow with a full day of activities in Downtown Laurens! County Juneteenth

As we prepare for Saturday's festivities, please note the following traffic and event information:

🕧 Road Closures
West Public Square, East Public Square, and East Laurens Street will close to traffic beginning at 12:30 PM as vendors begin setting up for the evening celebration.

🚗 Parking
There will be no parking around the Square after 12:30 PM. Please plan accordingly and move vehicles before road closures begin. See map for parking details.

🏕️ Vendor Setup
Vendor check-in and setup begins at 1:00 PM.

🎺 Downtown Processional Parade – 5:00 PM
The Downtown Processional Parade will begin at Laurens Middle School, travel down West Main Street, and conclude at the City Parking Lot in downtown Laurens.

🎶 Downtown Celebration – 6:00 PM
Join us on the Historic Square for an evening featuring XperienceSoul, delicious food trucks, local vendors, dancing, the Kids Zone with games from Big Air Laurens & SC Children's Museum, and more as we celebrate together.

📍Be sure to check out the attached event schedule, parade route, and vendor map to help plan your visit.
