September is Pedestrian Safety Month!

The Mesquite Police Department is proud to participate in Nevada’s Joining Forces campaign, working alongside law enforcement agencies across the state to make our roads safer.

From September 5–20, MPD officers will conduct increased patrols focused on pedestrian safety and educating both drivers and pedestrians about safe roadway habits.

Slow down. Stay alert. Look out for one another.

On September 11, 2026, our community will gather to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001—honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the countless acts of courage and sacrifice that followed.
