How lucky you are - great photo!!

I was lucky enough to see this beautiful condor in the very beginning of my hike down into the Grand Canyon. By 1987 there were only 27 condors alive. At that time it became extinct in the wild as all 27 birds were captured to be bred in captivity. Today their population is above 400 with a few more than 200 in the wild, making it still one of the rarest birds alive. It was also a reminder that I better get my butt back up this Canyon since this guy is a vulture 😬
