Semi truck crashes happen everyday. To minimize your risk as another driver on the road, practicing these driving tips when driving near a semi truck:

1. Avoid semi truck blind spots (positions on the road where you can't see the diver's reflection)
2. Never play "chicken" with a truck
3. Allow more space when following a truck than you would with a passenger car
4. Drive predictably and never change lanes without using your signals
5. Anticipate weather conditions
6. Be careful where you pull over on a highway
