I entered this race with hope and optimism, and despite everything, I leave it with both still intact. Along the way, I built incredible friendships and relationships that I will carry with me forever. I am deeply grateful to my family, my friends, my campaign team, every volunteer who gave their time and energy to this campaign, every supporter who cheered me on along the way, and every person who opened their door and listened as I shared my vision for New Mexico.

Today I got to hear the bells ring and people cheer as my oldest son, Tracen, cast his vote for the first time. I love seeing our young people use their voices and participate in our democracy.

Voting matters, and seeing your child take part in it for the first time is something truly special.

I am disappointed my opponent and her supporters have chosen to run a negative campaign in a Democratic primary. I did not get into this race to tear down another Democratic woman. I’m running to fight for our community, to uplift people, and to talk about real solutions for New Mexico families. That’s the campaign I’ve run.

My opponent may have resorted to cheap attacks and lies, but I remain focused on what our community needs in a Representative: someone who fights for progressive policies that uplift New Mexico; someone committed to improving our schools; someone who will protect workers, expand healthcare access and affordability, regulate AI and data centers responsibly, and make life more affordable for New Mexicans.
