FYI: NPT TERO/TYAP clients, I have arranged a tour at the Operating Engineers Training Center in Ellensburg, WA, from 10am-4pm. If you are interested in attending, you will have the opportunity to meet with Shannon, the training coordinator, to inquire about the apprenticeship program. This program is currently accepting applications, and enrollment would make you eligible for the Native American Assistant Grant (NAAP). The Operating Engineer Training Center is hosting an open day, allowing clients to visit the campus and submit an application for the apprenticeship program.

I'm thrilled to witness their remarkable achievements and can't wait to see the profound impact they'll make in the future. The Native American Assistant Grant Program (NAAP) provides funding to assist clients in overcoming barriers to participating in a Union or WA based program. New clients may be eligible for up to $10,000 in funding if necessary to initiate or continue their program. Clients who have previously received this funding may be eligible for up to $5,000 if necessary to continue or complete the program. NPT TERO/TYAP clients, we are hosting an Open House Employment Day tomorrow, May 12, 2026, from 9:00-10:00 am in the Pi-Nee-Waus Gym. We are having the LIUNA Laborers Local #238 present to discuss the requirements for joining the Union and their upcoming projects. We will also be announcing the application process for the “Summer Youth Work Group 2026”. If you are a new client, current client, or interested in becoming a client, this is the event to attend 🚧🚜👍🏼. We will be taking about what services we can help you with during your time with us as a client. We are also inviting tribal programs to discuss their current job openings.
