Re-elect Michael Poulin - Muskegon County Sheriff

The purpose of the Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission is to provide leadership in the identification of state and local traffic safety issues and promote recommended strategies to address them. As a third term member of this commission, it brings me great pride to serve the State of Michigan, while representing Muskegon County.

Today Governor Whitmer signed a resolution highlighting the issues of impaired driving in Michigan. This resolution combined with collaborative efforts between state agencies and traffic safety partners will allow each of us to make a significant impact in saving lives.

It's hard to believe a year has gone by.

During this years Michigan Sheriff's Association, Board of Directors Installation Banquet, I was given the opportunity to reflect on the work that was done during my presidency of this great organization. Though my time as President is ending, my commitment to this Association, and to the mission we all share remains as strong as ever. I will continue to stand beside my fellow Sheriffs as an advocate for the work they do every day for our communities!

It has been an honor serving in this position, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. I look forward to the future of Michigan's oldest law enforcement organization.

May we all continue to lead with courage, serve with compassion, and protect with integrity.
