It’s been a busy week in the woodshop. Elijah and Drew worked really hard on this custom curved shelf. They built two that will be going into the Mt. Pleasant Vocational house.

This project might have been our most challenging project to date. Great job boys!

Tonight, Marcus and Tiger delivered this custom firetruck to the St. Louis Area Fire Department. Marcus, Ross and a few other students put in over 100 hours building this replica. They had to convert the original schematics of the truck to fit the desired scale of the wooden truck. We appreciate our first responders!

We took a special trip down to Devereaux Sawmill today. John took us on a mini tour, and answered a lot of questions for us. The sawmill along with Nick Carter Trucking are a crucial piece to our success in the woodshop. To show our appreciation of their support, we presented them with a forklift that was custom built by Bentley Inbody and Ryder Siefka.

The woodshop went to the Ithaca Public Library today and installed some custom cabinets. We are not the fastest shop, but we pride ourselves on equipping students for their future and creating a quality product. We love the opportunity to serve other community organizations

The Shark Tooth Woodshop is thankful for these opportunities to serve others. The bench was handcrafted by Elijah Shuart and Ethan Shankel. The white oak bench was built using mortise and tenon construction. Proud of my students’ dedication to serving with excellence.

The Shark Tooth Woodshop stopped over to the Alma Fire Department to present them with a token of our appreciation.

Our shop is Kid centered, Community focused, and Future driven. What that means is that our kids get to use their talents to serve their community and prepare for what’s next in their lives. Thank you to every person and organization that has ever provided lumber, tools, time and money. Because of all of you, we get to do things like this.

A special shoutout to Marcus Hoyt and Ross Pavlik. These young men are going above and beyond every day and their work is showing that commitment.

Our shop had an opportunity to build one of the coolest and yet most difficult projects to date. We were given a few pictures and the task of making this Christmas present for Bob Bissell. Shout out to a couple of my students, Merick Bartlett and Miles Strong. My students never cease to amaze me. These were the pictures we were given next to the final project. I think I will give them an A!

Every year the Shark Tooth Woodshop and St. Louis Public Schools honor our veterans with a student made plaque. We have been doing this since 2021 and it is a highlight of our year. Thank you, Veterans, for your sacrifice that made our feeedom possible.

Please come to the St. Louis High School door #1 on Tuesday, November 11th, from 8:30-3:00.

We have spent a lot of time and effort working on these plaques to give to our veterans as an opportunity to show our appreciation for their sacrifices. Happ...
