This holiday season, we are happy to share a heart-warming story of a boy and his best friend. Evan Moss wrote a book about his longing for a best friend, and helper -- a seizure dog. The book shot to the top of a best seller list on Amazon. Thanks to Evan and his family, and a very loving and generous community, not only was Evan introduced to his new best friend Mindy... but 7 other children were able to get new best friends, too.

Most of us know who Charles Dickens was, and were either required in school or chose to read his many novels. Did you know he also had childhood epilepsy? Several of the characters in his books also had epilepsy (i.e. Edward Leeford in Oliver Twist and Guster in Bleak House). The medical accuracy of Dickens's descriptions of epilepsy amazes doctors who read him today.
