Last week, I had the honor of being officially sworn in to Lancaster City Council. Thank you to my friends and neighbors who believed in this campaign.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve the city I love.

Now, let's make local government work for all of us.

I just wrapped up a ride-along with two public servants from the Lancaster City Police Bureau — Officer Jake Hines and Cadet Eve Stoltzfus. I was impressed by their professionalism and feel like I have a much better sense of what our patrol officers do on a daily basis.

Cadet Stoltzfus was incredibly vigilant about parking violations and hazards that reduce visibility at intersections, which I appreciate as someone who walks, bikes, and drives around our city often. I also watched her rescue a stray dog on Queen Street!

Officer Hines and I responded to a more serious incident, and I really appreciated the care and thoroughness he and the other responding officer demonstrated.

Thanks to both for your time and education.

I spend a lot of time knocking doors, so it was nice to have neighbors come to us on Friday (Audrey let me hand out flyers because I brought her Almond Joys).

The rest of the weekend has been packed with Election Day prep and the final round of door knocking ahead of Tuesday. I was also able to get up to Elizabethtown and help my buddy Matt4Etown knock for his Borough Council race. He’s put in the work, and I’m hoping he flips his seat. 🤞

It's the final weekend to knock before the election! Thank you to everyone who has come out this year to knock doors. Judicial retention is so important - we CANNOT let billionaires buy their way onto the PA Supreme Court.

This weekend we're also letting people know about a few ways to help our neighbors who are struggling as SNAP funding lapses.

There are so many ways to help out in Lancaster, but we're calling out food drives being done at Zoetropolis and the office of Representative Smith-Wade-El, as well as direct donations to the Lancaster County Food Hub.

Thank you Nikki Rivera for PA, Councilor Ahmed Ahmed , Amos Stoltzfus for Lancaster City Council, Marshall Miller for City Council, Jen Eaton for School Board Director and our volunteers and committee people for doing the work!

Just wrapped up a 5K fun run with Jaime Arroyo for Lancaster City and a great group from across town. 🏃 🌳

One of the things I’m most excited to work with Jaime on over the next four years is building a city where everyone can live healthy lives. That starts with affordable, quality housing, and branches out to policies that promote walkability, biking, access to healthy food, and welcoming green spaces.

I’m genuinely pumped that our next mayor takes health so seriously and will bring that focus to his administration.

Got to knock doors with some of my favorite people before attending my neighborhood chili cook-off. There’s nowhere I’d rather be in the fall. 🍂

Love getting out there and talking with neighbors in this weather.
