Today, Lakewood PD joined our community at West Pierce Fire & Rescue Station 31 to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
On this 25th anniversary, Mayor Bocchi addressed those gathered as we remembered the victims, their families, and the first responders who courageously answered the call.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the victims, their families, and the first responders who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape. We also honor those who answered the call to serve our nation in the years that followed.
May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the unity our nation showed in the face of tragedy.
