The Lake City Su***de Prevention Coalition is a volunteer-based group dedicated to supporting Lake City, Minnesota and nearby communities by promoting mental wellness awareness, sharing local resources, and helping identify community needs related to mental health. Community conversations are a common thread that builds community. There are many ways to hold conversations within your community. You don't have to grieve alone. Wabasha's Emplify Health by Gundersen Wabasha Area is offering this FREE Bereavement Support Group. Help is here.

💙 Emplify Health by Gundersen, Wabasha, is offering a FREE 7-week Bereavement Support Group for adults 18+ who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

“Learning to Live With Loss” provides a safe space to share, connect, and find support on your grief journey. Led by experienced volunteer facilitators, this group meets weekly and offers helpful materials to take home.

📅 When: Mondays, September 21 to November 2 | 5:30–7 p.m.
📍 Where: Faith Lutheran Church, 905 Hiawatha Dr E, Wabasha, MN
✅ No cost to participate
⏳ Recommended for those at least 3 months into their grief journey

It is important to have a conversation about safety if you or someone you know are having or have had suicidal thoughts in the past. Everyone can put together a safety plan to help identify when we might need additional support. Create your own safety plan and encourage your family and friends to do the same. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has a great video called Michelle's Safety Plan
