🚒 **Growing With the Community We Serve** 🚒
The numbers continue to tell the story of a growing demand for emergency services in the Boles Fire Protection District.
As of **August 26th, Boles Firefighters have responded to 1,461 calls for service in 2026.** At our current pace, we could finish the year with approximately **2,250 calls**.
For comparison, our Firefighters responded to **1,757 calls in 2023**. Last year, that number increased to **2,046 calls**, approximately **60 of which occurred as a result of the March 14th tornado**. If this year's projection holds, Boles Firefighters could respond to **nearly 500 more calls annually than we did just three years ago.**
But behind every one of those numbers is a response from our Firefighters.
Over the past **2 years**, Boles has been fortunate to add personnel to our organization. Those Firefighters joined us during a period of significant growth and increasing call volume. They have been expected to learn quickly, adapt to a wide variety of situations, and work alongside our experienced members to provide the level of service our residents expect.
Recently, we've seen just how important that growth has been.
Our members have handled several critical fire, medical, and rescue incidents that required significant manpower, teamwork, and coordination. Having additional personnel available to respond, working alongside the experience and leadership of our veteran members, has contributed to several favorable outcomes.
We're incredibly proud of our Firefighters, who are members of the **Professional Fire Fighters of Eastern Missouri**, and the work they continue to put in every day.
As our call volume grows, so does the responsibility placed on the men and women serving our community. Whether the final number this year is 2,100, 2,250, or something entirely different, our mission doesn't change: **provide the best possible service every time we're called.**
And none of this happens without the continued support of **OUR residents**.
We believe it's important to share these numbers because they aren't just our statistics—they reflect the service **you have helped make possible** by continuing to support the Boles Fire Protection District year after year.
**Thank you for continuing to support our Firefighters as we grow alongside the community we serve.**
