Today I received my official Certificate of Nomination for La Vista City Council Ward 1.

While this is just one step in the process, it's a reminder of why I decided to run in the first place; to serve our community, listen to our neighbors, and help ensure La Vista continues to be a safe, thriving place for families to call home.

Now, the focus turns to November.

Over the next few months, I'll continue knocking doors, attending community events, listening to your concerns, and sharing my vision for Ward 1. This campaign has never been about politics; it's about people, neighborhoods, and making sure every resident has a voice at City Hall.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, and believed in this campaign so far. I'm excited for what's ahead and look forward to earning your vote this November.

Big things are happening in La Vista! Yesterday, we officially broke ground on City Park, and soon this space is going to transform into something amazing for families, kids, and our community to enjoy for years to come.

This is the kind of progress I love to see — investing in our neighborhoods, creating spaces for connection, and continuing to make La Vista a city people are proud to call home. I can’t wait to watch this park come to life! 🌳🏞️

Exciting times ahead for La Vista!

Today was a special one… my very first campaign sign officially went out into the community. 🇺🇸

It may seem small, but moments like this mean a lot to me. This campaign is built on conversations, community, and a genuine love for La Vista.

And on a day this beautiful, it felt like the perfect way to start. ❤️

Thank you for the support, encouragement, and belief in what we’re building together.

The time has come… it’s Primary Election Day!

Today is a reminder that our voices matter. This country was built on people showing up, standing up, and making their voices heard. No matter your background, your story, or your beliefs, your vote matters.

Get out there, cast your ballot, and be part of something bigger than yourself. This is one of the greatest freedoms we have as Americans, and today we get to use it.

Let’s make our voices heard!

Tonight was the dedication of Reflections Plaza, a beautiful vision by late Councilmember Mike Crawford, brought to life.

Thankfully, we beat the rain, and it was an honor to witness this moment and be part of a community that came together to build such a meaningful tribute to the fallen.

Happy Arbor Day 🌳
Right here in Nebraska, J. Sterling Morton had a simple but powerful idea back in 1872… set aside one day to plant trees and invest in the future. What started on his birthday, April 22, has grown into a nationwide tradition now celebrated on the last Friday in April.

Today in La Vista, we enjoyed gorgeous weather as we celebrated with a special Lunch & Learn at Central Park, where Pat Lodes from our Parks and Rec Advisory Committee gave a speech and Mayor Doug Kindig read the Arbor Day proclamation. Earlier this morning, he also planted a tree at his own home to celebrate, leading by example in the best way.

La Vista has proudly been a Tree City USA community since 1992, marking our 35th year receiving that designation 🌱

A big thank you to our Parks and Public Works Departments for organizing such a meaningful event and working so hard to keep our parks this nice. We also got to hear from Jason, Superintendent of the Parks Department, who shared some great insights while presenting today’s Bur Oak Tree planting. Fun fact, a bur oak tree’s root system can grow two to three times wider than the tree itself. These trees are incredibly resilient, even surviving fires, and they serve as a vital source of habitat and food for wildlife.

It was especially meaningful to see a local La Vista elementary school 2nd grade class there, learning, participating, and getting their hands in the dirt. The kids even got to help plant the tree themselves, each taking turns adding dirt to the hole, such a simple moment, but one they’ll remember.

Even more exciting, our Youth Council secured a $3,000 grant to plant additional trees right here in our city. New trees will soon take root along Thompson Creek and throughout Central Park.

Moments like this are a reminder that building a better future doesn’t happen overnight. It happens in small, intentional actions, planting roots, investing in our parks, preserving nature, and creating spaces where the next generation can grow and thrive.

That’s the kind of future I believe in for La Vista 🌿

This morning at Central Park was a quiet reminder of just how special our community really is. 🌿

Places like this are more than just beautiful views, they are where families gather, kids explore, and we all get a chance to slow down and breathe. It is part of what makes La Vista feel like home.

Earth Day is not just about appreciation, it is about responsibility. Taking care of our parks, our neighborhoods, and the spaces we share matters. Small actions, when done together, create real impact.

I care deeply about preserving and protecting the places that bring our community together, today and for future generations.

Happy Earth Day 🌎💚

I’m so excited to share that I am running for La Vista City Council. I believe representation starts with showing up and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

For the past four years, I’ve proudly called La Vista home and currently serve on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, working to strengthen the spaces and programs that bring our community together. Through that experience, I’ve seen firsthand what makes our amazing city thrive and where we have opportunities to do even better.

I’m a community advocate who believes in getting involved, listening to residents, and taking action. Now, I’m ready to take that commitment a step further by representing you on City Council.

La Vista deserves leaders who are present, proactive, and invested. I’m ready to serve and I’d be honored to earn your vote.

If you have ideas, questions or concerns I'd love to hear from you.

You can reach me directly at [email protected] or 402-218-5613.
