Every month, we are blessed to learn something new, feature someone different, and grow as a group and as individuals. This month, we had the honor of hearing from Lyn Eagen, Board Chair of Secret Safe Place.

This non-profit was so inspiring; it offered so much hope for our community - and entire state! They have saved over 150 babies by giving mothers in crisis a safe place to surrender their newborns. This program puts the brightest light in the darkest of moments and gives mothers a path to follow when they feel the most lost.

Thank you so much, Lyn, for sharing about all that you and your incredible team do. We are so thankful to have met you and we will do all that we can to continue sharing information about your organization.

🇺🇸 What a day!

From Farragut to Bearden, Downtown West to Sequoyah Hills, Powell to Rocky Hill, and Cedar Bluff, our volunteers showed up and gave it their all for Betsy Henderson’s campaign.

We waved signs, shared smiles, received countless honks, waves, and thumbs up, and had the opportunity to encourage voters all across Knox County.

Now we’ve done what we can do.

✅ We voted.
✅ We volunteered.
✅ We showed up.

The rest is in God’s hands and in the hands of the voters. Time to wait for the results and be thankful for everyone who gave their time to be part of the process.

Thank you to every volunteer who spent part of your day making a difference. No matter the outcome, grassroots efforts matter, and today proved that.

The final hour before polls close, and you're putting in the work.

This goes out to every candidate and every volunteer out there tonight.

The night is not over yet.

But win or lose, each of you has already earned something most people never will.

You put your name out there. You knocked on doors. You stood in the thunderdome, while the rest of us watched from the seats.

Two people enter. One person leaves.

I'm not running for office. The next person picking apart your platform is not running either. It's easy to judge from the sidelines. It takes real guts to stand on the field.

So good luck tonight. Hold your head high no matter what the numbers say. You did what most people could never do. That counts for something. That counts for a lot.
