Today, we honor the lives lost on 9/11 and reflect on the power of community, resilience, and showing up for one another! 🇺🇸🤍

Twenty-five years later, September 11 is both memory and history.

Many adults remember exactly where they were that morning.
But children only know 9/11 through the stories we tell.

So we tell the truth with care.
We honor the lives lost.
We remember the families forever changed.
We talk about the heroes who showed up in the middle of fear and heartbreak.

Today, DCS remembers September 11 with a commitment to helping children understand not only what happened, but the way America stood united in the aftermath.

September is National Kinship Month!

We want to celebrate those relatives, close friends, and loved ones who open their heart and their home to a child in need of love and stability. We want to highlight the incredible strength, love, and selflessness of our kinship caregivers who say "yes" in moments of need! ☺️💚

We want to recognize those who wear many different hats, especially our foster parents and foster care staff who emphasize on the labor of providing care and love for the children we serve. We appreciate all that you do to make a difference in these kids lives! ☺️🎩💛
