This news story was posted on LinkedIn. The reporter just happened to be present when an elderly gentleman was being scammed using a cryptocurrency ATM. This is one of the better news reports I’ve seen on this topic. The victim’s frustration with her attempts to persuade him to stop speaks to the scammers ability to groom unsuspecting older adults. This victim was convinced he was cooperating with the federal government.

The other victim she interviews is younger and was prepared to pay $4,500 for “failure to appear” charges before a store employee got involved.
