Alex, Darren, and Chris recently checked the flow rates in the sedimentation basins to make sure each basin is receiving an even amount of water.

Keeping the flow balanced is important because it helps maintain similar loading rates across all of the basins, allowing each one to operate as efficiently as possible. These routine checks help our operators identify and address any differences in flow so we can continue providing reliable, high-quality drinking water to our customers.

It’s another example of the attention to detail that goes into treating your water every day! 💦

First Utility District was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for Operation Hero's Hill, an incredible initiative led by Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs that is helping provide a fresh start for homeless veterans in our community.

Hero's Hill features 21 tiny homes, creating a safe place for veterans to rebuild their lives, regain stability, and look toward a brighter future. It means so much to be a part of something so meaningful for those who have given so much for our country.

We're proud to stand alongside our community in supporting our veterans and celebrating this important milestone.
