I recently had the chance to join the Pella Fire Dept and Pella Community Ambulance to train using their new AMKUS Rescue Systems tools. I love being able to show some of our "tricks" and also being able to learn new things myself every time I get to watch another dept. This was an awesome training and timed perfectly because about a week after our time together, I watched these folks do an amazing job on a real life extrication.

On Saturday, my son Bennett and I were privileged to represent Dinges Fire Company at the graduation ceremony for Crisis Canines of the Midlands' spring class. I am extremely proud to be part of a company that recognizes and appreciates the invaluable work these individuals do for both our first responders and the general public during traumatic incident responses. Pella Community Ambulance and Pella Fire recently received a Community Betterment Grant from Prairie Meadows for $25,000. As part of the grant, Pella Ambulance received a battery powered Combi Tool for basic extrication needs on an emergency

Thank you all for letting me come out to the fair today and help with your vehicle extrication demonstration with our AMKUS Rescue Systems equipment. Jasper County is lucky to have such an amazing bunch of emergency responders.

I was able to spend part of last week in I.L. at our home office with some of our great sales reps and company leaders keeping up to date on many of the products we offer. Every year we invite our vendors to this meeting (and our golf outing) to teach us about their products. Some of these vendors included Black Diamond Fire, Perimiter Solutions, Lion, Lion Training Products, Bulldog Fire Hose, Amkus, WL Gore, Iowa American Rescue, Fast Rescue, Vanguard Safety Wear, Bullard, Task Force Tips, Safety Components, and HME fire trucks.
