Joey Ohman - City of Sevierville Alderman, Seat 4

Primary position / areas of focus - public safety, education, responsible growth, economic prosperity, and business / community vitality, continued low taxes

Traffic & Transportation:
(areas of focus) Blanton Rd. onto Veterans Blvd., Tanger Outlet intersection, Middle Creek and Earnest McMann intersection, additional parking in Downtown Sevierville. Improving traffic flow for time efficiency and the most importantly, the safest way possible

Communication & Information:
Enhance communication and community relations, improving interdepartmental communication, public awareness, and encouraging more community input at city meetings

Public Safety & Security:
Additional police protection / officers and firefighters are needed to maintain public safety based on the growth of our city. It is a priority for me to keep our public service personnel safe and well equipped so they can keep our citizens safe

Parks & Recreation Enhance Opportunities:
Continuation of enhancing the Greenways, Blueways, Parks and Community Center to benefit the citizens of Sevierville

Preserving our History & Heritage:
It is a priority to protect Sevierville’s history and maintain our small hometown atmosphere all while making everyone feel welcome and included

Responsible Financial Management:
In order to have a balanced budget, current businesses must prosper as well as support new economic growth. The CBID area is becoming developed which promotes economic growth and assists with paying off debt. Detailed short and long-term analysis planning to focus on lowering our city’s debt is a must. A large focus is needed to omit wasteful spending to reduce debt in order to keep taxes and fees low and/or adequately balanced

Beautification & Environment:
Comprehensive / citywide - Continue working on the blueway system and connect it with Pigeon Forge. Clean up - promote more litter and trash clean up along the streets and river systems in cooperation with Keep Sevier Beautiful and City Crews

Short & Long-term Housing:
Housing - Will strive to focus on affordable housing for our citizens, by seeking local investors and mutual private - public cooperation and partnerships

Responsible Community & Tourism Development:
Economic/Community Development - Continue growing our city with businesses while keeping our existing businesses thriving. Continue to promote and fund the Chamber of Commerce with their efforts to make Sevierville a better place to live, work, play and visit. Create an atmosphere making Sevierville a place where investors want to develop / invest yet striking a mutual balance with our residents and business community

We can achieve all of this and more as long as we make good decisions now that will benefit us currently as well as future generations

A new chapter begins at the Eagles Nest! 🦅⛳️

Today, we officially cut the ribbon on the Eagles Nest Toptracer Range—a new facility designed to bring more ways to play, practice, compete, and enjoy golf to our community.

We’re grateful to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for their leadership and support in making this project possible, and to everyone who helped bring the Eagles Nest from an idea to reality.

This is more than a driving range—it’s a destination for golfers of all ages and abilities.
