We have received reports of a person calling the citizens of La Paz County claiming to be Captain Visko #3156 of the Sheriff's Office. He convinces people that they or a family member have a warrant and demands $3000 or face additional charges.

We do not have anyone by that name employed at the Sheriff’s Office and would never call demanding money. In the past these scam attempts have actually used names of our employees.

Who Are Senior Corps Volunteers?

The Senior Corps @ NAU program offers the opportunity for adults 55 and older to serve in their community in a variety of capacities. Some of our volunteers serve in schools with high-needs students, while others serve in the homes of home bound adults that need support maintaining their independent lifestyle.
