Nobel laureate Philippe Aghion dropping knowledge at the energy geopolitics session at undavos : Inclusive growth is a driver of innovation by enabling all to contribute, and creative destruction is an engine of social mobility. Too much regulatory protection stifles innovation and creative destruction - we’ve seen how that is harmful in energy. And best of all - failure creates opportunity!

COP28 is a critical moment for the global climate treaty. This is the year of the global stocktake and we know we are not on track. Governments and business must do more, much faster. A bright spot: on the very first day, negotiators agreed to a vital piece: the creation of a Loss and Damage Fund to provide resources to the most vulnerable. Climate change is a moral issue: those who have done the least to cause the damage are harmed the most. Christensen Global is there to advance key issues on both mitigation and resilience: we've partnered with Woodwell Climate Research Center to bring the Sun Valley Forum to COP28 in Dubai, featuring the insights and solutions of our CG clients and Forum partners and friends. We are grateful to our deeply knowledgeable speakers who are the do-ers we need.

We will present three panels on December 4, 6 and 10, 2023 at the Woodwell Climate Pavilion in the Blue Zone, Building 89 (the Nature Pavilion) upstairs to the back right corner. We hope to see you in person to accelerate action by digging into nature capital and carbon markets, bringing climate risk to the heart of finance and transforming food systems (which is vital to reduce methane emissions). Please see more details below, and get there early as space is limited! We look forward to connecting with you!

Aimée Christensen, founder and CEO will provide remarks at: What if Women? Coffee Talk: Shifting to a Nature-Positive Economy hosted by Confluence Philanthropy and the United Nations Development Program, and she is co-hosting Summit Impact’s “What Do We Value Most? We are pleased to release summaries from the Multiplier Effect working sessions at the 2023 Sun Valley Forum. We are inspired by the important work that the Russell Family Foundation continues to drive forward on Catalytic Climate Finance, and are excited to follow the impact of the innovative resilience-building strategy of the Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Resilience Center to use gaming technology to build climate resilience among individuals and communities. Read the blogs through the link in our bio. Thank you to our Multiplier Effect partners for bringing such important conversations to the 2023 Forum.

Stay tuned for future blog posts to broaden the impact of the Sun Valley Forum community and gatherings!
