Remembering our veterans, James Garner - His military service spread over two wars. WWII Merchant Marines & National Guard - Regular Army 5th Regiment in Korea. He was wounded twice and received 2 Purple Hearts. The earlier photograph shows him with a young Korean orphan he took care of during that war.

He served as an Infantry sergeant in F Company, 2nd Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th infantry Division in Korea, December 1951 to August 1952. He received a Purple Heart for wounds in combat
