History came to life in Ms. Bachmann's 10th grade World History class at Reuther. Students participated in a gallery walk to analyze primary sources from Eastern Europe in 1990, using a unique collection of artifacts generously shared by Ms. Bachmann's father from his college trip there that same year.

As students explored letters from Bulgarian citizens, journals, newspaper articles, maps, stamps, photographs, and even authentic pieces of the Berlin Wall, they connected their learning about Cold War-era communist governments to the real experiences of people living through a time of historic change.

The opportunity to examine and even hold these artifacts made history tangible and meaningful. Students were excited to engage directly with primary sources and gain a deeper understanding of life in Eastern Europe during the late 1980s and 1990s. 🌎

Frank Fest was a beautiful celebration of Frank Elementary School's 130th Anniversary and our Celebration of Learning! 🎉

The school was filled with former teachers, principals and students, along with current staff, students, families, Mayor Bogdala, and many other special guests. It was inspiring to see so many generations of the Frank family come together to celebrate the history, pride and sense of belonging that make Frank special.

We were honored to welcome former Frank principals Gordie Hess and Heather Connolly, along with KUSD Superintendent Dr. Weiss. Their visit is a reminder of the many leaders, educators and community members who have helped shape the school's legacy over the years.

Throughout the event, students proudly showcased their learning, creativity and hard work, sharing their accomplishments with families and guests.

Here's to 130 years of excellence and to the generations of Frank families who continue to make it a special place to learn and grow! 💙💛

Yesterday, students, staff, families and community supporters came together for Lance Middle School's Walk-a-Thon benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Every three years, Lance students take the lead in selecting a charitable organization through research, presentations and a schoolwide vote. This year, they chose Make-A-Wish, demonstrating their commitment to helping children facing critical illnesses.

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our school community, they raised an amazing $46,933 to help grant life-changing wishes for children and their families.

This fundraiser reflects Lance's emphasis on student leadership, civic engagement, compassion and service to others. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, volunteered and supported this effort. 💙 🙌 💙

Reuther Central High School students reached new heights during this year's rocket launch event! Students put their math skills into action by collecting real-world data to model parabolic trajectories in Algebra 1 and using trigonometry and special right triangles in Geometry to calculate rocket heights. 🚀

While not every launch went as planned, the experience provided valuable learning opportunities and plenty of successful launches. Hands-on learning like this helps bring classroom concepts to life and shows students the power of applying their knowledge in the real world! 🙌
