I wanted to share a little more from tonight by sharing my speech.

Behind every milestone is a story, and this moment means more to me than I can fully put into words. My experiences, the people I’ve lost, and the people who have inspired me have all played a part in shaping the person I am today and the reasons I choose to serve.

For me, public service has never been just about holding a title. It’s about listening to people, advocating for those whose voices aren’t always heard, and doing what I can to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to celebrate this moment with me and to everyone who continues to support the work.

I’m sharing my speech because the meaning behind this recognition matters just as much as the recognition itself.

This is why I serve. This is what keeps me going. For The People. ❤️

Tonight was a special moment, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been recognized for my work and service in Kenosha.

Serving as your County Board Supervisor is an opportunity I don’t take lightly. I ran because I believe our community deserves leadership that listens, advocates, continues learning, and shows up for the people who need it most.

This journey has been shaped by my life experiences, the people who have inspired me, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but even more motivated by the work that still lies ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me. I’m honored to serve Kenosha County, and I’ll continue doing my best to represent our community with dedication, compassion, and a commitment to the people.

I am honestly speechless. ❤️

I am incredibly honored and humbled to be recognized by the Wisconsin Black Democrats as a Rising Star of the Year.

To receive an award like this means so much to me, especially knowing how many people have supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way. From my journey through foster care to serving my community today, I know I would not be where I am without the people who have poured into me and reminded me to keep going.

I do the work that I do because I genuinely want to help people, give back, and make a positive difference in the community I call home. Being recognized for that is something I will never take for granted.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and stood beside me throughout this journey. I am truly grateful. ❤️

I look forward to celebrating with everyone on Sunday, October 11th. I’ll have more to say at the ceremony, but for now… thank you. Truly.

Congratulations to Kenosha County Supervisor David Lux, our other Rising Star of the Year award recipient!

David’s journey from foster care to community leadership is nothing short of inspiring. As the CEO and founder of the Carla Faye Foundation, he has dedicated his life to supporting families facing mental health challenges, substance abuse, and homelessness. His compassion, integrity, and relentless commitment to uplifting others truly make him one of our rising stars.

We are so proud to recognize David for his leadership, advocacy, and the positive change he’s bringing to our community. Make sure you purchase your tick today to celebrate with us through the link below or in our bio!

💜 Su***de Prevention & Awareness Training

Tonight, I had the opportunity to attend the second community training session on su***de screening and prevention, hosted in Pleasant Prairie.

I learned a lot of valuable and interesting information about recognizing warning signs, understanding risk factors, and having conversations that can potentially make a difference in someone’s life.

A special thank you to Tori Shelton and Kristen Rabideau, the two embedded social workers serving with the Pleasant Prairie Police Department and Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, for leading this training and sharing their knowledge and experience with us.

The work that our embedded social workers and behavioral health professionals do in our community is incredibly important. Thank you both for the compassion, dedication, and hard work you put into helping people during some of their most difficult moments. 💜

I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and bringing what I learn back with me as your Kenosha County Board Supervisor for District 10.
