The City of Kennesaw, in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), invites local business owners and professionals to a free workshop on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ben Robertson Community Center.

This session is designed for small business owners and decision-makers who want to move beyond day-to-day firefighting and develop a proactive roadmap for growth. Participants will learn how to define their mission, vision, and core values, analyze their business environment, and create actionable strategies that position their company for long-term success.

The City of Kennesaw is updating its Comprehensive Plan, a long-range vision that will guide growth and development through 2047. Your feedback will help identify community priorities for topics including housing, transportation, parks and recreation, infrastructure, conservation, land use, and more.

Please note: This survey is separate from the Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study survey. While the LCI Study focuses on the Cobb Parkway corridor and Downtown Kennesaw, the Comprehensive Plan looks at the future of the entire city.

The City of Kennesaw is updating its 2025 Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) plan, focused on the Cobb Parkway corridor and its connection to Downtown Kennesaw and surrounding neighborhoods. This planning effort will help identify opportunities for future development, improve connectivity, and create safer, more welcoming spaces for residents and visitors.

Join us for a Community Design Workshop on Wednesday, August 12, where it will build on previous public input by presenting the project’s existing conditions, market analysis findings, and initial planning framework before engaging participants in a series of hands-on activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with the project team to explore ideas for transportation, land use, placemaking, redevelopment, and public spaces.
