KDHSA Maine Campus hosted a Football and Finance event sponsored by the New Orleans Saints and Hancock Whitney with Saints legends Buford Jordan and Garrett Hartley. The students participated in drills and got a chance to meet the Saints legends in person. New Orleans Saints

Congratulations to KDHSA 2026 Salutatorian, Caleb Siliezar!
Caleb joined the Discovery family in Fourth Grade. During his time at Kenner Discovery, Caleb was actively involved in the National Honor Society, the music program, and served as a Pathway Ambassador. He earned certifications in FAA Part 107: Small Unmanned Aircraft Operations and CompTIA IT Fundamentals. Additionally, Caleb was one of four students to complete an IT internship with Ochsner Health this year. Notably, Caleb is Kenner Discovery’s first Gates Scholarship recipient, selected from over 60,000 applicants nationwide as one of 750 students nationwide. This summer, Caleb will begin leadership programming in Arizona before attending Texas A&M in the fall to major in Civil Engineering.

Congratulations to 2026 KDHSA Valedictorian, Bailey Burd!
Bailey joined the Discovery family in 5th grade. During her time at Kenner Discovery, Bailey was actively involved in various student clubs and organizations. She was a member of Freshman Academy Mentors, Key Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, National Honor Society, and the music program. Additionally, she served as a Pathway Ambassador. Bailey earned a Gold STEM Seal Diploma Endorsement in Engineering by completing the eight required Pre-Engineering courses. Bailey plans to attend Louisiana State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science.

Our Maine Campus 2nd Grade Swamp Owls presented their "Living Biography" projects. Many historical figures were in attendance. Congratulations on the hard work!

It was an afternoon of excitement at the , Tuesday, May 19 as 191 KDHSA Seniors of 2026 completed their last act as high school students. Thank you to Jefferson Parish Superintendent, Dr. James Gray, for speaking at our ceremony. Even though our Swamp Owls are flying away, we welcome them back to the nest anytime.

Congratulations to the auction winner of "Be Ms. Melancon for the Day". Catherine, a current 8th grader on the Vintage campus, took over Ms. Melancon's classroom for the day. Catherine is a former student of Ms. Melancon, so the visit was extra special!
