Friends of Higashihara Park- a working committee of the Lions Club of Kona Community Foundation is holding another community work day on Saturday Sept 12. Hope you can join us.

Please come join us at Higashihara Park to help us restore and clean up our special Playground.
Saturday, September 12, 7:30 AM to 12 PM.
Here are some of the things we’ll be doing that day:
- cleaning debris from the playground
- cleaning pavilion roofs
- waterproofing the sugar train
- trying to secure gates so pigs don’t get in

Our volunteers will be in Waikoloa at KTA assisting the Hawaii Island Fentanyl Task Force.

Congratulations to our newest member- Lion Hannah Hokenson introduced to Lionism by her partner Lion Anika Agerlie. Both are Elementary school teachers who will be working with our Cub Club too! Also pictured- President Lion Charles Nahale, Anika, Hannah, PDG Lion Mitch Tam.

A few our Lions Club of Kona volunteers responded to the request for help in securing Hawaii’s Hulihee Palace in Kailua Kona, due to the impending storm surge from Hurricane Lala.

In continued partnership with the Hawaii Island Fentanyl Task Force, weʻll be at KTA Express this Wednesday, from 4pm to 6pm, distributing FREE Naloxone and teach you how to use it!
