Linda's model at KISD has proven successful, as the facts can attest. When Linda became Principal at Nash, it was a targeted school, considered one of the bottom 25% of schools in the region. Linda brought positive change by Empowering the Teachers to work together as She Worked With Them in implementing a transition from departmentalized classes to 'classes that travel together" between 2 teachers. This cooperative transition resulted in a positive learning atmosphere for the students at Nash, improved & shared curriculum, and improvement in student discipline. Quickly, test scores began to improve and Lucille Nash Intermediate has been an Exemplary or Recognized School every year throughout the TAAS and TAKS assessments. Linda has a knack for bringing groups together! Throughout Linda's tenure at Lucille Nash, the campus has won numerous awards for improvement from the state and has been/continues to be ranked in the top quartile of schools in our region.
