Fort Osage National Historic Landmark, near Kansas City, Missouri, is accepting applications for one full-time living history interpreter position. Fort Osage was a major military post and United States government operated Factory trade house on the Missouri River from 1808 -1822. It is associated with such individuals as William Clark, Sacagawea, and Daniel Boone. The reconstructed fort and education center are located on the bluffs of the Missouri River and located on Lewis and Clark and Santa Fe Trails. Fort Osage is also a partner with the National Park Service. The team member is part of a forward-looking professional interpretation staff engaged in a variety of duties and projects. Position responsibilities include conducting living history programming, school tours, special event planning, interpretive research and writing, retail sales and facilities upkeep. $22.68 per hour.
