As Larry says, the secret reason for Amendment 7 is to ban RCV. The 'first' clause they list on the ballot language is already illegal in Missouri, and thus would not change anything. it's deceptive laguage designed to get voters to ban something that would BENEFIT THEM.

Amendment 7 asks Missouri voters to make several changes to the election process including implementing a ban ranked choice voting and adopting more direct wording to keep noncitizens from voting.

Proposition 7 in Missouri will be on the November 5 ballot. If passed, it would not only make noncitizen voting illegal, which is already the law, but it would ban the use of ranked choice voting.

The bill that will be on the ballot in November has many issues including having two separate subjects on one bill.

The Missouri House advanced a measure to the November ballot that would do two things: First, it would make it illegal for noncitizens to vote in the state, which is already illegal under federal and state law.
