🐟🎣National Fishing Day is not complete with out a casting for distance competition. Residents at Miller Healthcare shared many stories of fishing when younger, a corn cob and string fishing "pole", and who cleaned them for dinner. And the weather blessed us with incredible temps today! It was a great morning in the courtyard!🎣🐟

It was so much fun seeing residents from Westwood and Bourbonnais Grove coming together at the Don Palzer Band Shell at Bird Park! There’s nothing like great company and fantastic music to bring our community closer.
A huge thank you to the Kankakee Municipal Band for putting on such a stellar performance of "Heroes and Villains."
So glad we got to share the evening with our neighbors!

Our residents at Westwood had a wonderful time getting creative with these beautiful patriotic door hangers from On A Whim. There is nothing like a little red, white, and blue to get us into the spirit of the season. We love seeing everyone’s unique style shine through in their finished projects!

Did you know that pet visits are proven to boost moods and lower stress? At Bourbonnais Grove, we can certainly vouch for that!
Our residents enjoyed some wonderful companionship during today’s pet visit. Whether it’s a quick head scratch or a gentle snuggle, these interactions bring so much comfort and warmth to our home. Thank you to our amazing community friend for bringing sweet Willow by to spend time with us.

At Miller Healthcare, we believe in the power of creative expression. Recently, we challenged our residents to paint an "apple tree." While the instructions were the same for everyone, the final pieces were as unique as the individuals who created them.
It’s a wonderful reminder that art is a reflection of the creator's perception. Proud of our residents for sharing their talents!

There’s something special about finishing dinner and heading straight to the patio at Westwood for s’mores, hot chocolate, and even better company. Love seeing our residents enjoying the fire and making the most of these perfect nights. 🍫🔥☕

🃏What a fantastic evening with our favorite neighbors! 🎲 Westwood and Bourbonnais Grove residents and friends came together for a night of Euchre, Bunco, and great company. Between the friendly competition, delicious food, and awesome prizes, we couldn't have asked for a better time.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made the night so memorable! Can’t wait for the next round!

We are still filled with the joy, laughter, and delicious surprises from our Cafe of Mistaken Orders event at Bourbonnais Grove! There’s something truly magical about embracing the unexpected—and thanks to all of you, every "mistake" turned into a perfect moment.
From the heartwarming patience of our guests to the incredible energy our team brought to every table, this event was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best experiences are the ones you didn’t plan for.

Miller Healthcare residents competed against each other for the title of bulls eye champ on National Archery Day. It's definitely not an easy challenge!! An eagle eye, steady hand, and muscles used that we didn't know we had were found!!
