Congratulations Paige!! There's a new gallery in town, and they want Monster-Bots! Paige has been selected as one of very few local artists to be a part of the Urban Arts Gallery, located in the Gateway Mall, downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. If you're in the area after friday, be sure to stop by and check out this new gallery and admire Paige's hard work in person!

One of the nice things about my job is working with different artists. Ok, there was only a little bit of sarcasm in that statement! Artists are tricky! We always think our ideas are better than everyone else’s, even when it’s not our area of expertise. I know this to be true and can recognize this fault in myself. Regardless, it’s nice because we get to make things that we wouldn’t normally choose to make. Case-in-point, this Family Crest project. I was approached by my husband’s nephew to create a “Family Crest” for his parents’ anniversary. It was a very long process and I will openly say that if I were designing a family crest, it would look nothing like this. However, it turned out very nicely and is appropriate for the family it was created for! We hung it above their garage while they were out on their anniversary, so that it was a perfectly-timed surprise from their son and us! Also, a great example to me that even when I’m not 100% sure an idea will result in an attractive finished product, if we do our best, it still turns out cool!
