Veronica Gatz Scheurich for Joplin School Board Veronica Gatz Scheurich was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. Avips, an organization dedicated to raising funds for the Spiva Arts Center.

The daughter of Ron and the late Debbie Gatz, Veronica attended Stapleton Elementary School, South Middle School, Joplin Junior High School and Joplin High School. After college, she returned to Joplin, where she has worked in finance and investments for over 20 years. Veronica serves her community and has spent time involved with numerous organizations including Joplin Schools Booster Club Board

of Directors, North Middle School PTO, Joplin Schools Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, Bright Futures Joplin, United Way, Leadership Joplin, Friends of St. Veronica and her husband, Jeff, have two children who attend Joplin Schools. They are active participants in their children’s education and enjoy the relationships they have formed with many of their teachers and administrators.

I am proud of the honest, clean, independent campaign that I have run. My campaign has not been about any other candidates, and I have followed the rules and guidelines of the Missouri Ethics Commission.

I have maintained from the beginning that I would make my own decisions based on what is best for our students, teachers, and community stakeholders, and that is what I will continue to do when elected!
