We were excited to welcome students from Elydale Middle School to the KVS Water Treatment Plant on Wednesday, March 25, for their annual visit—an event we look forward to every year!

This field trip is always a highlight for our team, as it gives us the chance to share just how vital clean, safe drinking water is to our community. Students got an inside look at the process behind every drop—learning about the dedication, expertise, and hard work it takes to treat water and keep it flowing reliably to the homes of Lee County residents.

We love inspiring the next generation and showing them the important role water plays in everyday life. Thanks to all the students and teachers who joined us—we can’t wait to see you again next year!

📢 **Delayed Opening**

Lee County PSA will open at **9:00 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17**, due to frigid temperatures and the forecast for potential black ice.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience. Stay warm and be safe.

❄️ Due to the weather forecast and accumulating snowfall already impacting the western portions of Lee County, the Lee County Public Service Authority office will be closing today at 2:00 PM.

The safety of our employees and customers is always our top priority. With road conditions expected to worsen this afternoon, we want to ensure our staff have the opportunity to travel home safely before the weather becomes more hazardous. We appreciate their dedication and hard work, and we fully support taking precautions during conditions like these.

We also encourage our customers and community members to stay safe by limiting travel unless it is absolutely necessary. Please continue to monitor local conditions and take extra precautions if you must be on the road.

Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe and warm.

Did You Know? 💧

Although water bills are due on the 10th of each month, Lee County Public Service Authority provides customers with a 5-day grace period. This means late penalties are actually not applied until the 15th of the month.

As we continue working through a few issues with our third-party billing provider and the U.S. Postal Service, we want to make sure customers are aware of this built-in grace period.

To help avoid delays in receiving your bill, we encourage customers to sign up for e-Billing. Customers enrolled in e-Billing typically receive their bills 2–5 days earlier than those delivered through the mail, without fear of the bills being lost in the mail.

You can also enroll in Automatic Draft, which ensures your bill is paid on time every month—no worrying about mail delays or forgetting a payment.
