A Friends of the Library group is a volunteer organization that supports its local library through fundraising, volunteering, and advocacy. These independent, non-profit groups raise money for library programs, staff training, and materials not covered by the library's regular budget, often through book sales and other events. They also increase public awareness, help with library events, and promote the library's services to the community.
