With profound sorrow and deep respect, the Dagomba Community in North America joins the people of Dagbon, Ghana, and Dagombas around the world in mourning the passing of our revered Overlord, Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II.
His reign was marked by wisdom, dignity, unity, and an unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of the Dagbon Kingdom. His legacy will forever remain etched in the hearts of his people and generations yet unborn.
During this difficult time, we extend our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family, the Regent, the Chiefs and Elders of Dagbon, and every son and daughter of Dagbon across the globe.
We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah also grant strength, patience, and comfort to all who mourn this great loss.
Rest well, Yaa Naa. Your legacy will endure forever.
