- Republicans and Democrats to one another in front of the camera while divvying up the nation behind the scenes yet again between two right-wing parties in the name of "Democracy."

The Democratic-Republicans, everyone. Get your tomatoes ready.

Last year, the Trump administration ordered compliant Republican officials across the country to redraw districts mid-decade in an effort to drown out Black and progressive voices, including here in Kansas City breaking up long time shared communities of interest.

Other states like California have fought back, pushing initiatives to counter the work to steal seats. Today, Virginia votes on a map that balances efforts taken in places like Texas and Missouri and provides repercussions for cheating. I encourage all my friends there to vote yes.

This upcoming International Workers’ Day, we remember labor and community organizing cannot be separated.
Workers don’t just exist at the point of production we live in communities shaped by the same systems that exploit our labor and dispossess people from the land.

If we’re serious about building power we have to strengthen both our workplaces and our communities. That means organizing not just to resist but to transform, to reclaim the means of production, to defend and return land, to build relationships rooted in collective survival.

Many of our chapters will be participating in May Day actions across the country. But we know rallies alone are not enough. We still have work to do to build the intercommunal networks of care needed to sustain a revolutionary general strike. If you’re ready to be part of that work:

Step up to help prepare your community to strike back. Without strong communities there is no strong working class. Strike at the root with General Strike U.S.
