This Pride Month, I’m proud to share a new article about why creating inclusive, welcoming wedding ceremonies matters and how Hitched & Co. proudly serves couples of all backgrounds throughout West Virginia.

As an LGBTQ+-owned wedding officiant business, I believe every couple deserves a ceremony that celebrates their unique love story without judgment, limitations, or expectations.

Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, courthouse wedding, or a full wedding celebration, your love deserves to be honored and celebrated.

Today is about more than a long weekend.

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Behind every flag is a story, a family, and a sacrifice that should never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends today, let’s also take a moment to reflect on the true meaning behind Memorial Day.

I shared a new article this morning about why Memorial Day still matters — especially in a world that rarely slows down long enough to reflect.

To the Class of 2026 🎓

And to the graduates feeling pressured to already have life figured out… this is for you. ❤️

First off… congratulations. Seriously. You made it through late nights, early mornings, awkward group projects, stressful exams, friendships, heartbreaks, and all the moments that shaped who you are today.

As you step into this next chapter, remember something important:

There is no single “right” path after high school.

For some people, college is absolutely the right move. It opens doors, builds careers, creates connections, and helps people pursue the work they truly love. There’s value in education, and there’s nothing wrong with chasing degrees and big goals.

But college is not the only measure of success.

Trade school, certifications, military service, entrepreneurship, travel, entering the workforce, taking time to figure things out—those paths are valid too. Don’t let anyone pressure you into spending thousands of dollars just because society says that’s what you’re “supposed” to do next.

Too often, it feels like the world turns into a competition over who has the biggest title or the highest piece of paper hanging on the wall. But your worth has never been determined by a diploma, a degree, or a job title.

The truth is: success looks different for everyone.

Some of the happiest people build businesses. Some become electricians, mechanics, nurses, artists, creators, parents, first responders, or travelers. Some take the long road before finding what truly fits them—and that’s okay too.

You do not need to have your entire life figured out at 18.

Give yourself permission to grow, pivot, fail, restart, and discover who you really are.

No matter where life takes you next, be kind, work hard, stay curious, and don’t lose yourself trying to meet someone else’s definition of success.

The world needs more fulfilled people, not just more people collecting credentials.

You’ve got this. ❤️
