On Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, the Jamestown Dive Team was requested by the Carroll County Sheriff's Department to assist in a critical search and recovery operation following severe flooding in the area. Five dedicated members of the dive team traveled to the scene, joining forces with local agencies, including EMS, the Ghent Fire Protection District, the Coroner's Office, and Kentucky State Emergency Management personnel. In a remarkable display of teamwork and determination, the dive team successfully located the missing person within 36 minutes of entering the water. Their swift and coordinated efforts brought a sense of closure to a tense and emotional situation, providing much needed solace to the family.
