This year's post RVC St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrations at the annual St. Atty’s Day Fundraiser Event drew in a record crowd to help raise money for the family of Nassau County Police Officer Patricia Espinosa, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver nearly a month earlier while driving into work.

Thanks to a generous donation from Perry Mechanical, and through the hard work of our former Honorary Grand Marshal, retired FDNY Captain John Atwell, the Port Authority Police Emerald Society was proud to present a check in the amount of $5,000 to the family of Officer Espinosa.

On hand to accept this donation was Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, members of the Nassau County PBA, and Officer Espinosa's husband, Nassau County Police Officer Francisco Malaga.

This well attended event was highlighted by a scholarship & multiple award presentations to extremely deserving honorees.

The Port Authority Police Emerald Society were proud to be sponsors in the 2nd Annual Birdies & Brews Golf Outing hosted by the PAPD Twins Softball Team & PAPD Columbia Association.

While our fantastic foursome may have forgotten clubs, got sunburnt, lost an immeasurable amount of balls, and were played through countless times... we did however have an absolutely incredible time. Thank you to our gracious hosts for an unforgettable day on the links! ☘️

To those attending our Annual Boston trip, the details have been set!

Our pregame gathering begins at 5:00pm & will take place at The Bullpen Kitchen & Tap located at 19 Jersey St and features a private entrance to the ballpark. The first round of drinks & appetizers are on us.

The Safe Ride Program Uber vouchers are now live in the members section of our website!

All attendees will receive a commemorative sticker & koozie.

We still have tickets left along with hotel accommodations are still available for those looking to jump in last minute!

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day and their legacy lives on in the hearts of a grateful people.

As we gather with family and friends, may we never forget those who never came home, and the Gold Star families who carry their memory forward.

Yesterday Emerald Society First Vice President PO Erin McCarthy & Trustee Sgt John Lynott presented Certificates of Appreciation to Jonathan Kovalsky and Cameron Eddings of Boy Scouts of America Troop 339 in recognition for carrying the Emerald Society banner during this year's Rockville Centre, NY Saint Patrick's Day Parade.

Jonathan is the son of longtime Emerald Society member PO Michael Kovalsky & Cameron is the son of former Emerald Society President Det Sgt Thomas Eddings. We thank you both for your dedication and support to our proud fraternal organization. ☘️
