Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown made history as part of the first group of African American lawmakers elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida since 1876. Her decades of public service have helped shape Jacksonville and communities throughout our state.

I’m also proud to be featured in The Florida Star, a weekly newspaper that has served African American communities in Jacksonville and Brunswick since 1951.
