Please help us with our Amazon wish List. We are collecting items for packages to send to our deployed troops. We also have a snack table at the North Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic. The veterans who have appointments at this clinic get to enjoy snacks, coffee, tea, water and juices the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month. It’s wonderful to even spend a few minutes with these hero’s talking to them and showing them our gratitude and appreciation.

A BIG THANK YOU, to Ocean Beaches American Legion Auxiliary Unit 129 for the snacks they provided for our North Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic!!!! Such wonderful items that our veterans enjoyed. Also on our table we have brochures and flyers for our veterans to take about many new programs that are available.
We are at the Clinic at 145 Heron Bay, Jacksonville Florida on the 1st 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month. If you’re a veteran, a caregiver or bringing a veteran for an appointment; stop by and visit us. Get a cup of coffee, hot tea or a snack or pamphlets.
Thank you to everyone who donates snacks to our Blue Star Mother’s table for our veterans. Without everyone’s help we couldn’t do this small event to honor and thank our veterans for their service. It takes a village and in these times it takes a community .

First Coast Blue Star Mother’s Florida Chapter 15 and Fort Caroline Christian church , put together 30 Easter bunny bags for the veterans at the North Jacksonville Domiciliary on Weds April 1st. The Easter bags were delivered today, Good Friday and the staff will hand out the Easter treats on Easter morning. All of the items were donated by our wonderful community to let our veterans know we care and support them. What a great time we had getting everything together. I know we put a big smile on those veterans faces even though we aren’t there to see it .

Today is our volunteer day at the North Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic. Honoring our veterans . So very thankful for the donations so we can thank our veterans.

Saturday,January 24th, 2 of our chapter members were at the Jacksonville Florida Homeless Veterans Standdown. We had a table with warm crocheted hats, nice warm socks, and some snacks to help our homeless veterans. This is an annual event in Jacksonville and we are so thankful for the donations given for this event. There were a lot of organizations there helping out our veterans. Thank you Junnie and Jennifer for manning the table yesterday. Thank you to our associate member, Arlene for crocheting the hats .

Tuesday, December 30th First Coast Blue Star Mother’s had the snack table set up at the North Jacksonville VA Clinic. It was a VERY COLD MORNING and the veterans were overjoyed with being able to get hot coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate!!!! We also gave them a special treat of fresh popcorn. We had Pre-New Years decorations on the table and gave out party hats to anyone wishing for one .

This morning, First Coast Blue Star Mother’s Florida Chapter 15 members, Junnie Watson, Arlene Freeman and Sue Reynolds delivered 30 Christmas presents to the North Jacksonville Domiciliary. 30 veterans received an early Christmas gift filled with goodies, cards and books. It was such fun playing Santa to these wonderful veterans.

First Coast Blue Star Mother’s Florida Chapter 15 served coffee, hot tea, Hot chocolate and snacks at the North Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic on a very chilly Tuesday morning. We also handed out Christmas cards, and goodie bags with candy and a Christmas ornament inside. What a great morning we had giving back to our veterans and the very deserving clinic staff . We handed out over 150 Christmas cards and 190 goodie bags. We are at the clinic the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays of the month.

A HUGE thank you to Bass Pro Shops for the donations of Beef Jerky for our troops!! First Coast Blue Star Mother’s was privileged to be one of the recipients of this event. You are helping bring smiles to many deployed troops. Our President Junnie Watson had her picture taken with these Bass Pro Shop Employees this weekend. Thank you again !!!
