Congratulations S***a, Cheryl, and Alaina for being elected to the JPS School Board! Prayers that your time on the board is impactful and you all find a way to do what best for the students, teachers and parents within our district!

Thank you to my family and my village for the long days, crazy schedules and constant campain talk! Thank you for passing out the braclets, signs, lit, and for making sure I didn’t loose my head these past few months.

Thank you to everyone that supported me during this journey! From the well wishes to the calls while you were in the midst of casting you vote, I appreciate the support and learned so much during this process.

Thank you to my labor family for jumping in and supporting me from the moment that I said I was interested in what was happening on our school board. Did I have a clue about what I was getting into? NO! But accross the board these folks had faith in me and felt like I had something to offer JPS. Thank you and I greatly appreciate all of your support.

Alright Jackson, you’ve made your voice heard now let’s make sure these folks are here to work! Good luck everyone!

I am honored to announce that I have received the recommendation of Jackson Education Association and the Michigan Education Association for Trustee for Jackson Public Schools. This recognition underscores my dedication to advocating for our students, teachers, parents, and community.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to both the JEA and MEA for their invaluable support. Your belief in my vision of a board member for our schools means the world to me! Together, we can create a nurturing and empowering environment that fosters the growth and success of every student. Thank you for your support!

As a school board member, I can say that there is nobody with more compassion, drive, and commitment than Tabitha Williams. I am proud to endorse her and vote for to join me on the Jackson Public Schools Board of Education.

Tabitha is a Jackson native and a Jackson High graduate. Her twin 10-year-olds attend Sharp Park Academy and her 16-year-old junior is enrolled in SCMV. She knows this district and this community. Tabitha has the leadership, strategic planning, and community advocacy background to be an amazing public servant for our educational system.

My Why:

I am running for JPS School board because I believe it's essential for parents to have a voice, for teachers to receive full support, and for children to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. As a lifelong resident of Jackson, a Jackson High alumna, and a parent of three children in the JPS district my Jackson roots run deep! While my professional work focuses on supporting ALICE families in Jackson County, it is my experience in community and the conversations that I have been able to have freely with teachers, parents, children, and community members that sparked my interest in running for the board. I am deeply committed to our community and I want to bring that dedication to the school board. By serving on the board, I aim to advocate for all our families, ensure educators have the resources they need, and work toward a better future for our students.
